The Eucharist

I have heard it said
that when we eat of the Eucharist
it is likened to a married couple having sex
the two become one.

It is a ritual
It is cannibalistic

It is mystical
It is spiritual
It is out of the earthly plane
and into the realm of science fiction - almost
except if you have faith
it is belief
belief
that you O'Lord
are there for me to eat
belief
that two become one
and all that that implies
