Psalm 27

Hear my voice when I call, O Lord,
be merciful to me and answer me.

Where r u when I reach out my hand -
  I can't find u,
  u don't answer me.
  I am afraid.

My heart says of you, "Seek his face!
Your face,  Lord, I will seek.

I am true to my heart
true to my yearning of seeking u
in the curves and straightaways of
this world - still u elude me

Psalm 27 says,

Do not hide your face from me
do not turn your servant away in anger
  you have been my helper
Do not reject me or forsake me,
  O God my Saviour.

Doris says,

It is useless for u O God to hide from me
for it is you who has set this inner yearning
 in my heart.
It is you who yearn for me
and  I in turn yield to thine endeavor.

I say, in my humanness -

I am here, here I am, Lord
don't u see me?
find me now.
I command you to do this
This in my smallness of human endeavor I say..

You laugh -

 Funny,
 You think this is funny
I tap my right foot in mighty frustration

God says,

You a  human are telling me what to do

Yes, I tentatively reply
 A little more humbly now..
Find me, I say, so that I can rest in your tender embrace.

Then God's look rested upon me

Wait, My Little One, Be Patient
 Your time is coming.
There is nothing you can do,  - believe me,
 but wait in anticipation
of human endeavor and in turn  be  receptive of my grace.

Psalm 27 says,

Though my father and mother forsake me,
  the Lord will receive me
Teach me your way, O Lord,
lead me in a straight path
  because of my oppressors.
Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
 breathing out violence.

Doris says,
The world is full of beauty
but my cataracts haven't been lifted
I see through the old eyes -
waiting for my consciousness to be raised
then I will see you with new vision
and my breath will be lifted as I am lifted up to look upon your peace

Psalm 27 says,
I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living
Wait for the Lord,
 be strong and take heart
 and wait for the Lord.

Doris says,

You are right
I won't give up the wait

Some of the  roads are narrow and winding
 others are wide and straight
Wherever the path takes me I trod on
knowing that the journey leads to the
  house of the Lord.

God says,
O Your Puny Little Human

But with a faith so great -.
What can I say!
 but

Welcome.
